I personally don't think a separate area is needed here at ST for vintage gear. Here, we use vintage, new, anything that sounds good, regardless of age.

Then again, I'm not a mod here, but that's my two cents.

If I remember correctly, we had this discusion when it was set up. and it was decided that "solid state" could cover any era, and tube would do the same, we also took into consideration to not have a buttload of topics, that might make it harder to navigate. we just wanted to keep it fairly basic.

correct me if I am wrong dingus, cuz I know you will.

that is correct, but if the membership wants a vintage forum then thats what the membership gets.
