I checked my rear view mirror, and saw me. Now, I don't know if I'm going where I've been, or been where I'm going. I'm sure gald I'm in Mod college so I can learn the answers to all of this stuff.

After you graduate, will you be joining the Mod Squad?

I'm assuming they will have a waiting list, tryouts, physical and mental aptitude tests, etc. My instructors all tell me that I have a great gift for absorbing the lessons, and that I should have no problems putting my education to work.

It's nice to have a goal in life. rolleyes.gif

P.S. Thank you for your interest. I'll try and invite you to my graduation.

The original point of this thread was a good one. I think much like the grapevine analogy ST will become what it wants to become. If any of us tries to guide its development we may become like some other sites i.e. too defined by a certain few. I belong to many forums so please do not assume which sites I may be refering to. Sound Thinking has a strong foundation built on tolerance and diversity. Lets just go with that for now. I look forward to a very interesting future.

I second that. I, on the other hand, have only participated in 3 forums. ST has had it's share of pro-vs-con discussions with everyone eventually agreeing to disagree, which is the way it should be. I like it. Although I am not a knowledgeable as most of you, there will be times that a novice opinion or observation can remind you of the obvious that you have overlooked.

Larry. Are you not the only member here attending Mod school? This I think speaks volumes.

So true, Our mettle will be tested when we become big, and hopefully we can remember our roots. I do believe, like other sites, that it will become imperative that our long term members help guide and keep our site, a strong foundation built on tolerance and diversity (to steal cub's verbage).

With you members as my role models, and support from the whole ST team, I feel the sky is the limit. Sorry, but I'm a little overwhelmed right now......................

It's been a few months and I thought it might be interesting to see what all of you now think about the subject. Do you think we're gaining a direction or have strayed? Any ideas for what we should do to better our forum?
