Friend of mine started brewing his own beer, when I asked him why he was brewing beer he looked at me and replied, "so I have something to drink while I am brewing beer", made sense to me.

A fellow I knew in high school started brewing beer a few yaers back. He called it Schloggin Logger, "the only beer that's not logged" I havn't heard how that is working out. Who's spillin beer? You sir need to exersise more control.

i havent had a drink since June 11, 1984. i was a bad drunk. these days i enjoy Dr. Pepper over crushed or shaved ice, a dash of bitters and a twist of lime. its wonderful.
I don't have a drinking problem... I drink, I get drunk, I fall down... no problem!

Rum can be good, my choice is Bacardi Gold.

I'm not much of a drinker; my profile picture is a record of one of just two times I've ever been drunk. I'm with Ovenmaster regarding beer and can only very rarely bring myself to drink it for enjoyment. When the social situation requires it, I do prefer the darker ales. A few months back I chanced upon an odd bottle of "black and tan" (a blend of the two types) that was surprisingly good for beer. For me, it's apricot brandy, a taste inherited from my father. However, I ran out over a year and a half ago and haven't gotten around to picking up more. (Told ya I wasn't much of a drinker.)
For when I have the occasional social event to host, I tend to have some Sky River Mead on hand. It's a locally brewed honey wine that has tended to be an unusual treat for those I've shared it with. Of course, I'm the literature guy, so I'm sure to point out the ties to Beowulf.

Margaritas have been killing me lately.

But I love it, I am on the short track.

JP, If you see a 6er of "drop top ale", its not bad at all. no after taste for a micro-brew. but full flavored and heavier than a domestic.
