Today it is the Beatles The White Album. To me it is the best from the Beatles. I like their newer stuff. It seems they matured into real artist. Don't get me wrong they have some other great lps . This just seems to be their best. It has more diverse music on it. Don't know why I picked them this morning. Their guitar work seems better and so does Ringo. What is funny is I was watching a thing about Manson last night; but I started listening to this last night before I started watching the show. So for just a poll. Do you want me to stop doing this? If so I will. Oh I forgot. What is the best Beatles lp to you. Have a good day.

Hi
Today it is the Wallflowers 1996-2005. I forgot about these guys and I saw the CD so I bought it. They really are good. I'm trying to figure out who they sound like. They have some pretty good songs. If you want grab them up I got them at a good price. I'm still listenig to the CD so that must say something. This is listening music when you are in a certain mood. I'm a little retrospective this mornig. This music fits in good.
Tomorrow will be a shock. I bought another CD. This one I wanted for awhile. It is a non rock CD.
Have a good day.

I'm going to make this a 2 part today. I'm up really early. This one is a sound track. It is to Oh Brother Where Art Thou. It is all Bluegrass. I found Bluegrass in the Early 70s. They use to have alot of festivals where I live. Alot of these songs I grew up to my Mother singing to me. True Bluegrass uses no amplification. That is why you have the bass fiddle instead of the electric bass guitar.
Well the tubes are warmed up and here goes. I thought I would play it on the tubes to get the effect of listening to it on an old radio. This music is so uncomplicated. This is true toe tapping hand clapping songs. I don't do country music very much. This isn't the same. I think I'll record this on the R2R. Well I'm going to kick back and enjoy this CD. It takes me to a place I haven't been in awhile. Sorta like going back to my roots. Here in the hills of VA.

Well I'm up early again. I fell out of bed dreaming. Man it hurts to do that. Well here we go . I'll dedicate this one to you guys in the N.W. It is Sound Garden - A Side. It is pretty hard. I lived in Seattle when they 1st started. If you don't have this one and are a fan. It is one to get. I was looking for something else ; but this will do. This CD isn't for the faint of heart. They do rock. This is one you crank by yourself and play air guitar. So far there isn't one mellow track. On this one they could give Metallica a run for their money. There will be a part 2 this morning. I don't think I'll run out of music for awhile. Have a good day. I just reached for the remote to crank it. LOL

This is from one of my favorite guitarist, It is Rainbow - Catch The Rainbow The Anthology. With Mr. Ritchie Blackmore. To me he got better after he left Deep Purple and created Rainbow. If you haven't heard Rainbow. Ronnie James Dio was their lead singer for awhile. This is 70s rock and roll. This is a 2 disc set. The 1st 2 tracks are to me worth the whole CD. Man On the Silver Mountain and 16th Century Green Sleeves. The LP Rainbow Live is very good too. So if you like Deep Purple you have to get one of Rainbow's CDs. Have a good day. And thank you for reading my ramblings.
Oh one question before I go. Which band do you own the most music of? Mine is the Eagles.

Good Morning. This is a different day. We are listening to a blind Italian Tenor named Andrea Boccelli- Under The Desert Sky. I have been listening to him for years. The music is very relaxing and puts me in a good mood. This is the Dinner Party kind of music where it puts everyone in a good mood. Man can't live by rock alone. If you want to show you have a litle class. This is the man. I never met a woman yet who didn't like him. Have A Good Day.

Hi everyone. Do you remember the group Sweet. .......

Yeah. I remember them pretty well. I was a little younger than my sister and she was a great glam- rock ( as we call it in Europe ) fan. I remember some Glam bands like Sweet, Slade, Gary Glitter, T. Rex and even bands like Roxy Music, Lou Reed and David Bowie played an important role in that Glam rock phase at the time.
I still love those bands. soundt/thumbup.gif

I´m away on vacation, so I cannot count my records now, but it will have to be Pink Floyd and The Moody Blues.

....  Well this is a little to sweet. I got to one song I really like. From here lets take a a little jump. Here we go to a cassette to get some analog this morning. Led Zeppelin. This is just little tape of my favorites. So what was the greatest Led lp? Have a good day. I'm going to listen some good music.

Houses of The Holy. A departed from the blues based influenced first albums', to new sound territories like the use of mellotron, never used before in previous albums. Also there a new approach to songs to new harmonies and rhythms never tried before. Reggae based tunes, funk power, atmospheric landscapes and even if you listen carefully you can find a little accapela and doo-woop style in the last minutes of the last album song "The Ocean".
BTW, the album in/out sleeve design by Hipnosis and inspired by the ending of Arthur C. Clarke's novel Childhood's End, is very beautiful.
Just a side note: aside from the reproduction of the lyrics to "Staiway to heaven" only "Houses of the Holy" contained lyrics.
One of my top ten albums of all time. Truly a remarkable record.

I agree with Houses of The Holy 100%. Well here goes Good Morning. We will do 2 today. Dire Straits - Sultans Of Swing. I just swapped it to the tubes. Thought it would sound better. I like this CD alot. They are one of the bands you forget until you see it or hear it then it is oh yea. I like them. This is a different sounding band . They had their own sound. I'm sitting here trying to put my finger on it. I keep coming up with bluesy sound. Alot of good guitar strokes. I am trying to put them in a catagorie. All I can come up is a sound good band. They don't jam like alot of other bands. It is a sound you just have to like.
I was on another site and they asked when did you get into stereos. I think the proper question is when did you get into music? The stereo is just the tool we use to try and achieve the goal of perfect reproduction of music.. I guessd it was when we figured out that music brought a certain joy to our lives. No matter what mood or how you feel there is music to match it or to make it better. I want to just thank the artist who bring this joy to my life. I hope this little blurb either gets you to wipe the dust off an old CD or go out and buy one to try it.

The 2nd CD is one of my favorites and to me one of their best. The Rolling Stones - Some Girls. This LP had 2 covers. I have them both. The 1st had all the faces in it; but they used movie stars w/o their permission. So they blanked out alot of faces. I'm going to play this on the tubes also. This is a CD that puts me in the mood to get things done. It is a pick me up CD. The tubes are warmed up. They can heat my room up pretty good. Alot of you will say the early Cds of the Stones were better. To me they tried different forms of music in this one even country and western. So to me this CD shows that the Stones were a versatle band. If anyone else has their opinions or would like to see a CD played. If I have it I will do it. I hope everyone has a good day. And thanks for reading.

Good Morning This morning I thought I'd do some Grunge rock. The band is Hum - You'd Prefer An Astronaut. If you like grunge this is one to buy. Little hard to wake up to. LOL It is a good band for a Rave. Really it isn't really to bad. It has some good lyrics and they do jam. Was looking for something else but thought I would do this one. Clint would probably like this one. I like it. If you never try anything you never expand your horizons. I listen to a lot of different kinds of music. I looked at my bottom row of music and thought that is the order I'll go in. Bottom to the top. I'm about to warm up the tubes for the next ones See you soon. Try Hum you may like it. If I ever do a CD twice yell at me.

Hi again. I just erased all I wrote. Well before I did something dumb I was writing about Cheap Tricks- Greatest Hits. God these tubes heat up this room. I like Rick he can play. This is a good party band. It helps to be a little intoxicated. Then it just grabs you. It is like they use to say on American Bandstand. It has a great beat but you can't dance to it. These guys are your go to band everyone likes them. So when everyone is good and drunk put this on and let them figure out who it is. LOL Before I erased his post I got an offer on 4 Blackwatch tapes. The guy offered me 15.00 for 4. Sorta yanked my shorts. I told him I would send 1.
The next band is a little mellower. They have more to say. You old hippies will like them. I love this sound room at 3 am I'm cranking and the cats don't even wake up. Well I'll have to do another post. My puter is upgrading and wants to shut down.

Crosby, Stills And Nash - Greatest Hits, Us southern boys don't need you Mr. Young. There guys were some very profound song writers. They don't jam ; but the lyrics make you think. This was a time of great unrest in this country. Really the only thing that came out of this time was some great music. I didn't agree with everthing that happened but I was very young. This is a good CD to travel back into time and think. You needed music to make you feel good during tis time. Well you old hippies jump in on this one.
Have a Good Day
