Good Morning Well the CD is of 2 concerts in California in 1972 that weren't found till years later when Jimmy Page found them. Yes Led Zeppelin - How The West Was Won. If you like Led just a little this a CD set to have. This is a great Live CD set. I don't care where you get it just get and hear some great music and Jimmy pulling out all the plugs. I didn't know about this one. I can't say enough about it. This set brings out why this was a great band. I'm listening more than typing.
This next one is fun. Commander Cody = Too Much Fun. I can relate to a lot of these songs that is why they are so much fun. I'm typing stupid so I guess I will go. If you ever get a chance and see a Cody CD just pick it up and have some fun.
Have a Good Day.

Enjoy!

A little Led for the head.

How the West Was Won is so far superior to The Song Remains the Same. I remember when The Song Remains the Same came out, we were so excited, midnight showing at the theater, spent the evening getting 'ready', and then what a let down, the mastering of the recorded music was so bad. I have the Lp but never play it. The mastering on How the West Was Won is excellent, well worth the listen.

I forgot about the early Bee Gees. I barely remember them. What I can remember was I couldn't believe it was the same group as the Disco guys. Crank it.

Well Jim I have all day to listen to music not the politics I usually do during the day. Might have to do sme R2R recording today. I haven't even gotten thru disc 1 of Led. This CD has me playing air guitar. Jimmy is jammin. John is kicking the heck out of these drums. Yes this is a well mastered CD.

Larry,

I had a heck of a time listening to ( just to name a few)

New York Mining Disaster 1941
I Started a Joke
To Love Somebody
Massachusetts
I´ve Gotta Get a Message to You
Words
World
First of May
Don´t Forget to Remember
Saved by the Bell
Run to me
......

I then had to get out to have my hair cut and my car washed, knowing I had to come back home to do some chores...Screw the chores, I´m going over through all this wonderful songs from my early teens. I´m not sure this can be called rock music. It´s just great music.

The Brothers Gibb are a chapter, or paragraph in music history that would be better unwritten. Any "singer" who does only falsetto is not actually a singer, because he is masking the fact he has no voice. Besides the fact it's patently annoying, it's artificial and lame. Aaron Neville is one of the most unusable tools in the history of music for the same reason. The only saving grace is the BeeGees came along a couple of years too late to ruin my high school experience.

Hi all. Going to do this early. I'm listening to Alan Parsons - Vulture Culture. It isn't what I'm use to from Alan. There is a lot of jazz mixed in thi one. Don't get me wrong I like it. The next CD may shock you if I can find it.
Well I found it Kid Rock - Rock and Roll Jesus. This CD rocks to all you old rockers. I have another of his I play to shock people. I like Kid Rock. This CD will surprise you. His band does some jammin. He does some good songs. He isn't as vulgar on this one. To all you old farts try it you might like it. Listen to the lyrics also. Yes I'm an old fart too. LOL Gotta put my CDs in order but man that is a chore.

Well I'm awake again. This morning is pretty good band. Hinder - Extreme Behavior. This is a double Cd set. I'm recording it on the R2R. I'm trying to think who they sound like; but they have a sound of their own. It is a good sound. I'm sure you have heard some of their songs on the radio. Good party band to those that party. I don't have to party their is one going on in my head all the time. Todd you have to get that R2R on line. I haven't used my in so long that yesterday I was recording and recorded absolutely nothing. I forgot to hit the record buttons. I was wrong this isn't a 2 CD set. It has a DVD with it. The next band will be Alice In Chains - Dirt. I will give my opinion in a min. A R2R isn't a cheap habit Just this A.M. I have 70.00 in tape and a metal reel. Wife yells about me spending money. I have found that music cost money. LOL
This band isn't for the light of heart. They do some hard rock. I myself like it. It gets the blood flowing. Good band A band to try. They will broaden your horizons. Well it is coffee time.
Have A good day see you Monday.

Good Morning. This CD is funny Arlo Guthrie - Alices Restaurant. This is one of my favorite CDs. I saw Arlo in person in Portland, OR. He wouldn't do Alices Restaurant. I kept yelling for it he told me to sit down and shut up. He turned the church into a shelter for Aids victims. If your down you won't be after hearing this CD. I know it was really against the war. It is still funny. If you want a tape of it just tell me and I'll see what I can do.

Good Morning. This morning it is an old band Uriah Heep- The Magicians Birthday. I bought this LP in 78. Now I bought the CD. Brings back old memories. It is a good CD. Can't really jam yet and I have a fan going. Demons and Wizards is a good CD also If you like old or should I say classic rock and roll. I suggest you get both of these. I recorded The Little River Band yesterday. It was called Backstage Pass. It was a LP. Lot of good music. Gotta see how bad I messed up one side of the tape. You can't be doing other things and be recording also. I don't think I did to bad. I hope you enjoy it Mac. I'll get it to you tomorrow. Have to do yard work today. Well see you soon. I hope if even just out of curiosity you try some of these CDs. Have a good day.

I'm a great fan of Uriah Heep. Imo David Byron had one of the most powerful and beautiful voices in the rock universe. "He was the wizard of a thousand kings..."
Also, Ken Hensley vocal & Keyboard/Hammond organ parts in most of the songs are very impressive. I have both albums you'd mention and like them a lot.

Hi I know I am early. Just recorded 2 great bands. I'm almost done. They were recorded on a Nak Rx202 W/O DNR on Denon HD8. Which is a type II tape. The 1st is Joe Satriani- Surfing with The Alien. There isn't much I can say about Joe you have to hear this CD for yourself. By putting it on tape I took the digital sound out and now we have analog. This tape doesn't miss a beat. The next band is 3 Doors Down- The Better Life. Better known for the song Kryptonite. There are a few other songs on this CD where it will surprise you. Have a good evening I'm practicing to go deaf.

Elroy- 08-25-2009
I was blown away the first time I heard "surfing with the alien" joe just killed every song.

I agree Elroy. He was one of the 1st CDs I bought in 90 to play on my 1st CDP.

Good Morning. Today is going to be some new rockin bands. Shinedown - The Sound Of Madness. I heard these guys on the tuner last night and I go I have this CD. I remembered them but not their music. These guys can rock. This CD gets an A+. In my book. They have some hard hitting licks on the guitar. The drummer can carry his own too. This isn't any bubble gum rock. I have found out if you don't try these newer bands you don't know what your missing. I know some of you have never heard of some of these bands. Go online and listen to them. See if you like them..
This next band is Saving Abel - S/T. This is another one I just picked up. I like them. I like any band that makes me stop typing. These guys do that. I'm finding alot of music I forgot I had organizing my CDs. After 2 hours I am up to the Es. Collective Soul came out with a new CD yesterday. I'll talk about it tomorrow. Well have a Good Day.
