A very interesting alternative for a GOOD amp for your ProAc speakers come from these guys from Dayens: The Ampino amp. It's not class D. Nor does it run a switch-mode power supply. It's a linear design with nice Japanese transistors and awesome hi-end components.
A friend of mine in another forum bought one of these and he says incredible things about it.

its looks pretty good, I did have the sonic T amp for a while, that was OK. really good sound suprising for what it was and the money, but it did lack serious grunt.
im happy with the NAD for a while, I just want my CD buffer now to play with.

I concur with with on the T-Amp, but this is not a class D has the T-Amp it's a Solid State amp with a linear minimalist design and awesome hi-end components. Just to clarify. Best of luck with your new buffer.
