Love 'em on salads, love 'em on pizza, love 'em by themselves.
My favorite?
Rolled anchovies and capers.
Anchovies are individually rolled around a caper, and then canned.
Delish!

Once again, Paul and I agree (I'm sorry for you, Paul). I think they are great. Like a lot of such foods, I like them because they have so much flavor on the rare occasions I do have them.
My mom, the Irishwoman from Iowa, used to make homemade pizza with big ol' chunks of Italian sausage and anchovies on OUR pizza. All of the flavor cowards got theirs without the anchovies.
My GF commented to my family tonight at the Mother's Day gettogether that she loves the fact I'll eat about anything she cooks. Then again, she's a gourmet cook. She hasn't cooked liver and onions. Or liver and dogturds, which probably tastes very much the same. Then again, she's a gourmet cook.
Yours truly, The Tasteful Plebian
