But it is it really worth three grand?!? I have always liked the Onkyo Grand Integra gear, but I am not sure I would go for that particular amp if I had $3K to spend. It certainly has a collectible value to it as it is very rare. However, I suspect I would probably end up with something like a Krell KSA-300S or McIntosh MC352 for that kind of money. Maybe I just need to hear it in person to be convinced.

I saw one at my tech's shop. It is totally massive and can only be moved with the help of a buddy. Wish I could have heard it.

Intresting read. It would be very interesting to hear it against some similiarly valued better known equipment.

Oinkers bench tested very well. Even the lowly "consumer" receivers and integrateds had amp sections that could reproduce very good to excellent square waves, which IMO translates directly to better sound.

Add me to the 'wanna hear it list' I bet some Apogee Scintilla's could suck every watt out of that puppy. I'd also like to have seen the 'Dead' using banks of them instead of Mac's, talk about piss-elegant trippin'
