Audio Magic uses a double layer of silver, while other companies use only a light coat of silver in their hybrid designs. The Audio Magic version gets the lions share of performanc found in pure silver speaker wire, but at a significantly lower cost. How do I know? The Extreme has an open and detailed top end The midrange has a light and livley presentation. Bass extension is good for its price point, and is never sluggish or bloated. It is easy to tell that this is a competent silver wire design.
