Hi Gang!

Check out my new website:

Audio Preservationist

Restoration of vintage Vacuum Tube Marantz tube equipment. I do custom work to ensure these legendary classic units are preserved as authentic as possible.

Vintage parts are sourced whenever possible and new parts custom crafted to look exactly like the originals.

If you have a vintage Marantz tube piece and want to preserve its historical and resale value, drop me a line!

Thanks,
Nestor

Yes, Alvaro. Although it didn't seem that long to me. Time does fly!

I hope you are doing ok. And thanks for your well wishes!

Thanks so much Jorge for the kind words.

I've been in the hobby for a long time: two decades. Since I was a teenager.
I had to learn the hard way sometimes. Others, I had invaluable help from peers.

Now I want to be able to offer the knowledge I've amassed over the years as a service to vintage Marantz tube enthusiasts and giving these classics the respect they deserve.

That´s terrific. Those beauties are imortal, in a way, and it´s good to se knowledgeable people nursing them and bringing them back to life, when the need arises.

Does that mean your Audio Research days are over, now?

Btw, good to see you back here.

Jorge

Yeah, my Audio Research days are over pretty much. Even though, I may try out an early ARC preamp such as the SP-2 or SP-3 one of these days. Very similar circuit to the Marantz Model 7, hence my curiosity!
