What are the best speakers in your house as of right now. Mine still have to be the maggies, for all their faults, hard to drive issues, placement issues etc. I have never heard anything that quite does vocals and smooth jazz as well. My newly acquired ADS 730's (thanks Dingus) have managed to push themselves tot he top of the list as well.

What you got that really does it for you?

best in my house are Braun L-830, Teledyne AR9, IMF TLS50, IMF Professional Monitor MkIII, and Tannoy 12" Golds. Unfortunately the AR9 and Monitor MkIII are too big for our livingroom so they're stored in the backroom. sniff, sniff sad.gif

My Vandersteen 2c's they are a very well rounded sounding speaker, they seem to do everything well.

But I did own a set of ar9's for a couple weeks before dingus took them from me, but thats a long, and beaten down story

the AR-9's of course, followed by the ADS L-810 and AR-91.

You like your AR9's over the L810's?

without a doubt. the 810 sound wonderful in the bedroom paired with the T-Amp. they cant compete with the 9's.

Well then you should really trade the 810's for a SWEET pair of AR90's with your good buddy Kelly biggrin.gif

No secrets with what I like.

Tops- Boston Acoustics, in the form of a pair of A-40s, two pair of A-70s, a pair of A-150s, and a pair of A-200s waiting a refoam.

Second- ADS L570 2s and L630s. I'd like to add some L810s to these.

Third (but played the most)- Polk Monitor 7s. I'd consider adding 5s and 10s to these if the right opportunity arises, but no rush here.

I'm hoping better placement of my Design Acoustics PS-10s move them up the ladder too.

My EPIs are good, just not my favorites. This might be another issue of placement however. I'll let you know when I've got a better listening environment to experiment. The Genisis 2s are yet to be refoamed, so opinions are out on that too.

The Large Advents I got for doing someone a favor have yet to arrive- so no opinion yet on those.

The newer Polks, newer Cambridge Soundworks and the Radio Shack Minimus 7s have been, or will be put into either HT use, workbench, kitchen, or low, low level listening.

As for the Infinity, JBL, Pioneer, Cerwin Vegas, Smaller Advents, ect, they may be sold, or at least shared to fund my other ventures.

The Balteks have faulty drivers, and await a decision on their fate.

Mark,

Those are nice lookers. Do they sound half as good as they look? I guess they must...
