I passed today on an old Bogen mono turntable, as well as a Bogen Turntable amp, speaker combination. I am having second thoughts now and am goiing back in the moring.
Does anyone know anything about Bogen? I don't know if either works or not but if nothing else there should be a mono tube amp in the one piece.

If you Google Bogen Amplifiers and Bogen Turntables you´ll find out Bogen made quite a lot of different models in the 50´s and 60´s.
Their tube amps must have been quite good in their day, if not the best available. I seem to remember they were mostly associated with the Pro market, but I could be wrong.
Anyway, for their TT´s you can still find some replacement belts:
http://www.turntablebasics.com/belts/bogen.html I bought booth of them for $65 along with a large stack of 78's. I also got a spare idler drive for them. I still need to get one of them in the house, then take them apart and check them out. I will get some pictures soon. I am tempted to change arms on one of the turnntables, build a plynth and make a stereo table, they seem to have good build quality with a heavy platter and drive.
