How many own decks? Why don't those that own decks try a tape swap. I would like to get some music from you guys and send some to you. If you have a cassette it would be great to trade music. I don't burn CDs. Is anyone in?

hell yeah, i'm in!! i was enjoying the the whole tape swap concept back at TAPEHEADS, and even participated in one. back then i had but a Dual-Well PIONEER CT-W910R as my primary deck, but today, i have one of these babies, the STANDARD LINE version of the CT-91, IMO the best deck PIONEER ever made. it is IDENTICAL to the CT-91 in every way save for cosmetic finish...
PIONEER CT-S800 (1988)
ELITE VERSION; CT-91

I have some very great sounding decks here. I have tried some tape swapping but many people makes stinking bad recordings out there in the HiFi world.
I find cassette & open reel decks to be extremely undervalued when it comes to sound quality. at least if you purchase one of the few good sounding cassette decks or one of the few well maintained open reel decks.

Just bought 2 yamaha cassettes a K-960 not working and a K-1000 direct drive. Thought I'd try Yamaha. Will keep the rest of my Naks. One is going to the shop. So I'll be back up to 5 decks.

Am trying to buy the TOTL Yamaha. Lost 1 yesterday. So if I get it will be up to 6 decks. Todd you just wait till you start recording. After listening to those Denons. You will be spoiled. Did you guess the last artist on the tapes? If so who?
Elroy- 09-02-2009
