Just having some fun (can't take ourselves too seriously). It is pretty much your hangout.

Our chat client, Gabbly, has recently experienced a few upgrades. The most notable is the ability to register a screen name and log in with a 32x32 pixel avatar. If you use our chat often, I recommend going to Gabbly, clicking the "Log in" tab, and registering your choice of screen names. This should limit issues with imposters and eventually give more personalization options as they come available.

It's a brand new feature, but unfortunately seems too buggy to implement here just yet. It does not show anyone being in room. More importantly, it's been bogging down loading of the main page significantly due to issues with its loading.

So, the Gabbly button will go away for a while until these issues are addressed.

As to putting the link at the bottom of each page, that cannot be practically implemented. Clicking it would automatically bring the clicker back to the index page for Gabbly chat and not remain in the main page.

Most of the issues seem to have been resolved with the Gabbly button, so its being tried out again on a temporary basis. It does appear to lag the load times of the main page initially. If anyone finds this to be too great of a delay, please speak up and I'll remove it again.

i moved the chat status box to the top of the page. we'll try it out and see how it works and if anyone likes it. its easy to put back where it was. i figured this would give some added visibility.

the status box doesnt activate any links, you'll still have to click on the text above the status box that reads "Chat".
