Speaking of hearing, back in my younger Army days, I was told I had the best hearing they had ever measured at that lab. I still remember how the tech's jaw dropped when the -*test*-('") results popped up on the monitor. While I am sure it has worsened a bit over the years, I still hear lots of little noises that no one else in my family can hear. For example, in a quiet room I can take my pulse simply by listening to both my heartbeat and the tick of the second hand on my watch.
