Check out the BEAST. 65 pounds of heavy metal. The case is custom made of solid walnut which I need to finish. Dual transformer for 165 into 8 ohm and 250 into 4 ohm. DF is 450, which is plenty fast even for a receiver.

the pic doesnt do it justice. not because of the case, but because the photo doesnt give you a sense of its scale, which has got to be massive.

I've heard that, that is a very nice receiver, would love to see a couple close ups

Picture with a Jackson for scale. The 16.5 is not the biggest Monster around but it is the most dense.

If I had to keep one receiver for sound quality, the 16.5 would be it.

I'm surprised that one went for $350 not too long ago. Guess they still fly under the radar on occasion.

Henry is back! Just to let everyone know, Henry made the case for me and the workmanship is superb. It is a perfect fit.

thanks sam. been busy in college and the past summer, was working 40 hours a week.

when you finish the case, be sure to fine-sand it again. with all this time sitting, it probably has fingerprint oils, dust, and other things on it.

how's life in SoCal?

Yeah, I think I will hit it with some 200 grit before the finish. It does have a couple of prints, which need to go away.

Life is good here is So Cal. Been selling off and dumping a lot of smaller stuff. Probably around 30 pieces have gone out the door this month including a car load to GW today.

I'm about to refoam my JBL's this weekend to get them going. Looking forward to exploring the 4313B sound.

I trust everything is going good in your world. Cheers, S.

yep, all's pretty well here. been focusing on college and other stuff lately. audio is a good hobby but sometimes you have to take a break and focus on other things. i'm 18 years old and i have a whole world ahead of me.

I can sure relate to the downsizing. not sure if i already told you but i'm down to one stereo now. your old RS-440 is my main unit, it powers my JBL L80T's. the BMW has a really nice stereo too though, with a 12 disc changer, so i do a lot of my listening in it when i'm driving. i spend more time in my car than i do listening to my home setup.

good luck on the 4313's.
