This is the la-*test*-('") iteration of the system. I think the only change may be a tube C-220 preamp someday.

Right now it consists of from top to bottom
Monster Power 3500 quasi power conditioner smile.gif
Sony 707 ESD CD player
McIntosh C-39 preamp
McIntosh MR-77 tuner
McIntosh MCD-205 Cd changer
McIntosh MC-275 tube amp
McIntosh MC-2205 SS amp

Here is a link to a slideshow of the setup. Also when you look at the picture of the battleship notice the beautiful wood panels Neal (Frogtoes) made for the Sony 707.

Really nice looking system. soundt/action-smiley-035.gif I'm sure it has the sound to match the good looks.

very nice Mike, its looking very cozy in there.

Stunning, Mike.

The glory of an all McIntosh ( well, almost ) system is unparalleled, IMO. soundt/action-smiley-035.gif

Apart from QUAD, UK, there isn´t any other brand I´d like to built a whole system around.

Speaking of which, have you ever considered a McIntosh CDP? That Sony of yours is just about unbeatable for sound, though.

Jorge, there is a MCD-205 CD changer in the picture towards the bottom of the rack. I really like the sound of it. I use the 707 for single discs and when I feel nostalgic smile.gif

Elroy, my kids bought me a used XR-200 while I was in New Orleans. It's about as new a bike as I can touch the gound on so as not to fall over when getting on & off smile.gif I have to rebuild the shock and the front forks but it runs well.

My boys both gave up 2 strokes for the 450F's. Too much bike for this old geezer.
