I just got a Denon 6 disc CDP for 99 cent and 17.00 shipping and it works.

nice grab for less than $20 delivered. if it has a digital out it would make a good candidate for a transport for your first go with using a dac.

It does but it is for my son. I have spent enough on his stereo. LOL

keep it in mind just in case you run across a dac for cheap. it will give you an idea of what a dac can do for a system.

Just recieved a broken CDP for less than 30.00 it is an Onkyo 6 disc. The listing said it didn't play. I just plugged it in and works fine.

I've had many listed as working and when arrived, did not.

But, like you, I've had a few items arrive that were listed as not working and worked fine on arrival.

I like it when the latter happens...
