I thought I was cured but alas, I'm not I saw a Denon DCD 3300 on the bay for a low BIN so I fell off the wagon and bought it.

It arrived and sounds better than all the other players except the Mac. It has a better build quality than the later Denons IMHO.

Now all I need to do is get the focus off the 1650AR long enough for the price to drop so I can get one of them.

you really never took to that Mac changer anyway. not to worry, i have the perfect spot for it.

A 3300 is a serious machine. A "low BIN" price must be "relative"...

It was higher than any of the other Denons I have. I picked them all up for under 100.00 a piece. This one was 200.00 plus shipping.

It looks similar to the Yamaha CD1 in that back then some companies went for the low wide look. The display is much nicer looking in layout and function than the cheaper models also. Later Denon went to the narrower, higher look. Like is found in the 1650AR and all their upper end DVD players.

Dingus, I think I'll hang on to that Mac for a while yet. After all it's only a "changer"
