hello everyone! here are a few facts about the PIONEER magazine CDP family; the very first model was the PD-M6 in 1986. it was followed the year after by a lineup of four models; the PD-M40,M50, M60, M70 and the PD-M90X, an ELITE-ized M70. in late 1988/1989 a new lineup was released, encompassing the PD-M400, M500, M600 and M700, with the M900 being the ELITE model based off the M700. now, here's an interesting detail; the PD-M6, M60, M70 and M90X share PIONEER's very first changer mecha design. for the M40, and ALL other models, up until the plasticky third generation design took over in the early '90s, the 8cm CD single compatible second generation design was employed. not as robustly built as the first generation, but still far better than the third, and to my knowledge, final generation mecha...
