I'd love to give the interconnects a spin as well, but I'm in absolutely no rush. I've got plans to send my POA 1500 out for a checkup before I get serious.

I'll pitch in for shipping. I can make a contribution thru Paypal or mailed via USPS. Are there any customs issues with shipping stuff to Portugal?

ohmy.gif OMG!! ohmy.gif i can personally attest that Scott here knows EXACTLY what he is doing with these!! he sent me out a set last year during my TAPEHEADS tenure, and, despite warnings from other users that they are overly bright, i have found them to be the very best ICs i have ever owned, beating out the coaxials i used to use with my PIONEER PD-91! absolute crystalline clarity, separation, definition and resolution of the minutest detail! the 1986 PHOENIX GOLD coaxials by comparison sound quite muddled and stuffy! the silky, etherial beauty of japanese goddesses singing some of my favorite Anime songs is totally addictive!! these are TRUE audiophile cables able to translate the full micro and macro-dynamic acoustic capabilities of the legendary PD-91 to the amplification component. DINGUS, my friend, you are very much on to something here!! soundt/thumbup.gif soundt/thumbup.gif soundt/thumbup.gif soundt/thumbup.gif

thanks for the glowing review John, but i cant take any credit for knowing what i was doing. i used basic Neutrik plugs ($1 ea.) and shrink tube (free, courtesy of itlldue) for the sheathing. i threw them together without much forethought.

they sound very clean to me, but going by all the feedback i've had, they are better suited to an analog source than digital. my system seems to be the exception though.

really? better suited to analog? my CDP and these ICs are indeed a perfect synergy! maybe it's because of the PD-91's CLASS-A output stage. maybe because of it's vintage D/A converters. i honestly have no idea. all i DO know is that the combination is simply magic, and leaves me wanting for nothing...
