They look smashing solid.
....and that copper chassis.... soundt/thumbup.gif I must say that you guys have a exquisite taste and the wisdom to choose the right components. I began to enjoy vintage Yamaha because of you guys. soundt/thumbup.gif

Dumb Luck on my part. It could have been any brand, but the yammi's looked purty.

back in business, but if you look closely there is an addition to the family, I have been listening to the combo amps today, the black bastard is an Adcom GFA 555, and I have the amps bi-amped with the adcom running the highs and the yamaha on the lows.

it sound pretty good, will mess with it for a while to see if I like it.

So, i can imagine that you'll have a sonic weekend... soundt/thumbup.gif

Have fun! I am a big fan of bi-amping speakers. You might try reversing the amps and se what that does.

Is the Adcom getting sufficient ventilation? They tend to produce a bit of heat.

I switched them thinking the 555 would do better with the lows and didnt have that clear sound. thats how I initially hooked it up, then I put the yammi on the the lows and huge difference in low end, clear and with a lot of depth, some of the bass lines really stood out, it sounds pretty good. thanks for the input.

btw, I do have 555 covered with gear, the back is open but with them bi-amped I cant really turn it up past 10 o'clock because its too loud. so I dont really need to push the amps so they dont seem to get real hot.

now you'll have to decide if it sounds better bi-amped or with the Yamaha alone.

ya, I think its pretty close, the yammi does a great job. will have to sit down and hook them up separately and do a comparison.

I'd love to hear the MX-2000 on either the NS-1000 or the very rare NS-2000.
