I learned a few things about FM antennas here

You can then go look for exactly what you want. If you live in a weak signal area, you´ll need a Yaggi with as many elements as possible ( for higher gain ) possibly mounted on a high mast with a rotor ( for selectivity )

FM listening can be great, but make sure you have good quality broadcastings available before you lash out on the medium.

Did you ever tried a TV antenna ( interior or exterior ) for FM radio ?
Once i tried it just for fun and i was amazed. wink.gif

I'm one of them po' folk who won't pay for cable, so I have a 30' mast and antenna on the house for TV. The FM reception in good enough to get the bay area stations, Sacramento, etc., and all of them in between. It's all I need. soundt/thumbup.gif

I did the same as you Larry, in Salamanca, just to listen to some great Portuguese FM stations and i have a pretty good FM signal with a TV antenna. user posted image

Same here, a TV/FM combo with an inline amplifier and a rotator up on a 25ft (7.6m) mast. Now all I need to do is get out of the valley I live in so I can get stations to my east. There's very little to the north, nothing at all to the west, so that means 90% of all I listen to is to the south.

Ilive in an apartment. I saw a whip antenna that can be used indoor or outdoor. I've got a Trek but it"s a piece of crap. It has to be almost exactly pointing in the direction then it only pulls in a station 10 miles away.

I'm in a river valley 100 miles west of Chicago. All I get is a bunch of oldies stations.

Another interesting alternative is the ST-2 Vertical Omnidirectional FM Antenna from Magnum Dynalab :
