Since i'm a big fan of vinyl it was not making any sence to me playing as a DJ at The Gas Station and not using some vinyl...So, today we bought two "dj turntables". We bought the Gemini TT01 MkII a branch of Philips brand made in China, of course... At first when i took it from the box and saw a very light "thing" made of plastic, i was a little skeptic about it, but then i plug it to my Musical Fidelity pre-amp and my skeptic reaction change to a little admiration about what i was listening to. Of course this is not an "audiophile" turntable, but i didn't expect that and it was not my purpose to get anything "audiophile" to a pub... In resume it suits very well in a pub with lots of ambient noise and acoustically deficient. Compared to my Project TT it lacks in transparency and bass authority, but it has good mids and high freqs. Also it came with an average head-shell and cartridge. Not bad for a plastic TT.....
