The stuff I have is called tape, but it isn't - it's just the stickum, and it's clear. Much like the adhesive they put on self-sealing envelopes.

What I have ran ito on receivers when celaning them has a thin amount of foam like the 3m product I have bought at Menards, I figured they wanted it for vibration purposes.

the automotive store was out of the tape and the Lowes near me is smallish- had diddly-squat for tape and the most piddly adhesive section I had ever seen.

I ended up going back to the automotive store and getting a tube of silicone glue and it's got one faceplate nice and finished (cured) as of 9pm, the other will be cured by 3pm.

Looking good so far- though I would have preferred the tape.

You guys- thanks a ton for the kind offer of some tape- I was in a rush to get these glued- theey were on the table waiting to get knocked off and shattered with my niece on schol vacation and also a plumber in to fix the leaky pipes in the ceiling.
