Just recieved 1st cassette deck since 1978. Recorded Nickleback 1st. Wanted to push it a little. Sounds good not as good as R2R though. Tried a prerecorded it sucked.

Some older worn ones lose a lot of their top-end. Also check for a missing pressure pad. You should look for some almost new "used" ones and you'd be surprised at how well they sound. Grab either some Windham Hill, Narada, or other top-end specialty houses.

I just recorded a tape for my wife. The playback is great. I cant wait to get the Nak if it is so much better. Thanks Jim.
