Is it made of steel?

naw, its made out of some type of laminate, and thats why I got it so cheap, the face was peeling and I just made sure that it was too shiny too see easily with the high gloss black paint.

When i have space i'll try to find one of those racks. A good solid rack it's a must in hi-fi, for now i'm just stick with "solid furniture" and for my audio comp system now i use some granite rocks and a granite shelter. Also i have a very solid comp case and i'd put some bitumen inside the case of my Plextor dvd.
More "mass" = Less vibration = Better sound.

the glass is what is heavy, fairly thick and tempered for strengh, I really like the look and styling of it, I am glad I found it. hope you find the perfect one for you.
