The Stevens & Billington audio transformers are indeed one of best. That's a great sonic upgrade.  wink.gif
Congrats and enjoy.  soundt/thumbup.gif

its very different to using valves as a pre, very clean sound and very detailed. also its silent, even with the phono stage and step up selected and the volume wanged all the way up with no music playing, its deathly silent.

it looks like you got a bunch of miscellanious c rap on the floor, you dont need to toss it out, I would willingly pay the shipping charges so you wouldnt have to pay the dump fees.

elroy

lol, if i do decide to toss it all out, i'll let you know tongue.gif

fantastic addition, i would love to hear the results!

cheers smile.gif
very happy with it, plays all music brilliantly to my ears. the 834p on its own is an excellent phono stage, but adding the mc3 has brought it up another notch, and the 40 ohm loading is ideal for the 304.

i think! i'm done now. smile.gif

That's what my wife said when I put up one wall of shelving and another of pallet rack in the garage for her to store stuff.

Don't bet on it! biggrin.gif

(Nice setup, by the way!!!) soundt/thumbup.gif

latest update, the tvc has gone, as did the rank mono's to be replaced with a tube technology prophet pre with power supply, and a pair of tube technology genesis 100w el34 mono's. differences are a lot more slam and more power than i'll ever need from the genesis. i looked long and hard for 2 years for these baby's to come up, and boy, do they not disappoint!
also added a stax earspeaker system for the late night listening sesh:-

cheers guys smile.gif soundt/thumbup.gif

it sounds superb. i had a few bass issues at first when it first went in to its own room, but after playing around with speaker placement and finishing furnishing the room, its spot on soundt/guitarra.gif extreamly open and detailed sound, huge soundstage and mindblowing imaging soundt/woot.gif i cant ask for a better sound really, chuffed to bits with it biggrin.gif

Two full systems set up side by side its not very commun to see these days....
Any preferences in choosing one or the other for any particular musical style?
BTW, that Lyra Dorian is just gorgeous. soundt/thumbup.gif
