It's the magnetic flux generator Scotty, beam me up. Pure decoration, but give me week to come up with some nonsense on it smile.gif

i think it looks cool, what are they going for? my B-283 is feeling naked without one.

Same $199 retail as before. Even though it costs me more to make, I think $199 is a great price for this type of product. Same deal for you as last time though.

With luck , the G rant version may become a collectors item. Only 60 made and lots of good jokes on my account. End of rant smile.gif

wouldnt the bands around the tubes on the new one act as heat sinks? keeping the tube cooler. well the wife is at work today so i get to jam . i put primus on and she said that gives me a reason to go. lol this component is still working as it did from day one. my cd player is a 6 player so i just load it and go.

here is more of my experience. today i recieved some new albums. i was a little bummed that it didnt sound as good as my cd with the buffer. i had to put the treble and bass back into play. the buffer is worth every penny. im not sayig that because im a dealer. it just works the music so much. ive got one more day to play till i get my own. if you try this unit you will miss it when you return it unless you buy it

Yup the B-283 is not designed for vinyl, that's what the P-307 is for. If it improved vinyl, then it would likely make a mess of digital sources. If your amp has pre-in's and outs then you can sometimes get an improved sound. If you have seperates then putting the B-283 between them can do well, many have found that reducing the gain on the pre works really well.

It's great to have you aboard Larry as our first US demonstrator dealer.

And it's called a tube processor, not a buffer !!! soundt/lolnuts.gif

Just want to add another thing in favour of B-283, i had put it between my Nad cdp and my Super T-Amp, and it sounds absolutly fantastic. soundt/thumbup.gif

I'm using the 283 into my headphone amp off my cd. my cdp has tube and nontube . it sounds very nice thru the headphones.

The B-283 arrived while I was out of town. I'll set it up this weekend and give it a listen. I'm looking forward to this. Might even prompt me to move some equipment from one room to another.
