This is the GF B-283 Tube processor. It is a new sample unit with the unmodified appearance. Designed to be installed between Solid State CD/DVD outs to improve the sound of your player. It has found many more uses as it is a line level device with RCA connections that adds subtle tube processing to your system.

Rules that apply:

1. You get to keep the B-283 for one week (the first person gets 2 weeks to allow the unit to burn in)
2. You agree to ship to the next person on the list
3. You will post your impressions of the Grant Fidelity B-283

Please respond to this thread if interested, and then PM me your mailing address phone number and your real name smile.gif.

If as a -*test*-('")er you decide to purchase a B-283, I will offer it to you at 30% off retail, plus shipping.

It should be fairly inexpensive to ship 10"x 8"x8", 5lbs.

Thanks,
Ian

Gee, that´s mighty generous of you, Ian soundt/action-smiley-035.gif . Thank you on behalf of Sound-Thinking. This will give all ST members in America the chance to check out Cint E.´s claims regarding tube buffers.

I wish I could be the first in the list. Just my bad luck, though. Gotta move across the Big Pond to get closer to you guys.

I hope you all have a lot of fun.

Hi Jorge

I can arrange for a 220v one for the other side of the pond too, not a problem for me but how does duties work out between countries over there?

Best,
Ian

A generous offer, and duly appreciated. soundt/action-smiley-035.gif

I can´t find words to thank you enough, Ian, but that won´t be necessary.

I could probably find a way of importing the unit on a temporary basis, therefore avoiding the usual duties, but the bureocracy involved would be too much. It would also take a long time, making your proposition unfeasable.

A simpler way would be to borrow Clint E.´s - aka Alvaro - unit. wink.gif

I think if it's marked sample or demo, you can skirt most of these issues. Would love to check it out but I'm spent out till 11/08. Need to do cables over the winter.

Larry, are you next on the list? if you are then PM me with your address and i'll get the B-283 out to you as soon as my time with it is done.

Since I'm tube illiterate, I kinda passed over the idea. However, let me talk to my son. He loves all this electronics stuff, and might like to sample tubes. I'll see.

Having two Larries is gonna be confusing. biggrin.gif

I believe Dingus adressed his question to Speakerman1.
