It changes from time to time as the mood strikes me or I get something better than I had. Here is the first setup.

I built a cart that they all sit in so they stay together. I've collected a few tools over the years. A top, middle & bottom were my Dad's and one bottow was my sons so they mean something to me.

Any place for the car in there? rolleyes.gif

No room, there hasn't been any room for a car for years. I have too much junk and can't seem to throw any of it away.

What's worse is I drag home more crap all the time biggrin.gif

Perfect setup for a man cave.

Hey, I recognize that speaker selector. smile.gif

Glad to hear that. Know the feeling about the speakers, though, have far more than I can use myself. Seems we're all hitting critical mass about the same time. I'd just like to have my bedroom back instead of a walkway to the bed, which is just about where I'm at right about now.

Wow Mike, what a system!
Nice changes from the first pic.
I love that McIntosh MC275. Looks exactly like mine (ten years ago!).
BTW, is that a thermometer on the center transformer?

M Gibson- 11-25-2006
My apologies Crooner. I totally forgot to check this thread until today when I read about Mark's system.

Yes it's a thermometer. I have since sent the amp in for refurbishment but before I did I used to watch the temperature closely. Without the little fan that's sitting in the orange Gatorade jar alongside it's gets over 130F and that's too hot for my taste.

When it comes back I have a new silent fan and will have a nicer looking wooden enclosure for it smile.gif I have a Yamaha M-50 doing duty until I get the 275 back. It sounds good but it's not the 275 smile.gif

That's an excellent idea!
I'm thinking about placing a thermometer in the vicinity of my VS110, since it does get quite warm, even hot, after 3 or 4 hours of operation. I do have a little soft blade fan, which I turn on manually on ocassion.

I have noticed an increase of 1 degree F of room temperature per hour, when using the system. It's definitely going to be tough in the summer. For now, I'm ok!

I received an e-mail from the repairman and he said it was fixed and it wasn't as big a deal as I had thought. He recommended leaving the amp as stock as possible which I was hoping for.

I found a little fan online that only generates 14-16db of noise when it runs. So as soon as I get a wooden base built I'll have that instead of the Gatorade jar smile.gif I can barely run the amp in summer unless I get a bigger AC unti for the shop smile.gif
