you quite sure that the TEAC is remote controllable, stu? i do not see a remote sensor on the front panel, nor do i see a CONTROL I/O on the rear. the CD/DECK jack is for linking the deck to a compatible TEAC CDP in order to synchronize and automate CD to tape dubbing. i could be wrong; perhaps the blank space there, to the immediate left of the active tape counter section of the FL display, is the actual REMOTE SENSOR. it is possible. as such, i'll include some links to some TEAC system remotes:
