....if you post it at AK, why not post it here too, "select all, copy, then paste"....

maybe we could follow Todds example and make an effort to post when we're drunk?

Hard to focus when drunk. cool.gif In any case I've posted over a half dozen pics in the past couple weeks, hoping they generate more interest.

Since it is spring And we have the new house my honey-do list is long. I have a storage building in my garage waiting for the rain to stop. My yard is a pain trying to get the grass to grow and the weeds not to. Now I have supplies for a patio coming tomorrow. Don't get me wrong i enjoy it. I will start posting more.

it wasnt directed at you guys, there is a good core of folks here posting when they can, but I just see so much potential if some of our original members keep posting

Forums are not quite antiquated but no where near the ground breaking networking tool they were ten years ago. Don't get me wrong, the format of the ST community (i.e. these forums) is ideal for the intended purpose and no where near as bad as some other options... For example I'm a member of a few pretty old email lists and the core membership simply refuses to add a forum thinking that 100+ emails in your box every day is somehow the better option. soundt/confused-smiley-013.gif

What we might look at is some potential enhancements to the forums such as, and I'm just brainstorming here, throwing out whatever pops into my head, a wiki to consolidate reviews, how-to's, vintage brochure scans, etc? I have a facebook page that I use a little bit of, I'm a member of a few groups on there. I also have a twitter account that since I found a twitter app for my iphone I find myself using more and more ( http://twitter.com//oktyabr ). A live chat room perhaps?

My work is fiendishly time consuming for about 8 months out of the year but then I get much of the winter to listen to music, try new gear, and to post, etc. I really enjoy this forum and spend more time here than I do on any of the other related forums I am a member of. soundt/action-smiley-057.gif

EDIT- Oops! I see we already have a chat room. Does anyone use it? If so a real IRC interface would be handy because I could use it from other places/devices as well.

vintage brochure scans, etc?

We have one of those already, as well, though it has been very quiet for a long time.

When I find the time I'll have another go at it.
