Damn the limit, full speed ahead! Reality check, would need to be something truly special for me to buy. I have no room but the backyard. I'll take a camera.

picts would be cool.

So, I took a look. Good thing it was somewhat close. Story is something about buying out a sound studio and a personal (small) collection. Most of the stuff is for stage use, theater maybe. The Otari console is missing and lots of things needed to be tested or is non-working. Very little home audio and he started talking about e$ay prices:
JBL 4425, $600; AR turntable, $250; two Marantz cases, $50 each; Marantz 2270(?); Quad 303,(?); Sansui 1000A, (?) no cover or output tubes. Infinity Kappa9, $1000 (questionable drivers). Racks are probably the best buy at $50.
Told me the more I bought the better the price but after he said "e$ay," I knew where things were going. He said he sold stuff before I got there but I don't know what, or if it was the truth. Wasn't worth taking pics.

Whenever I see an ad for something like that and it says "moving", I go in to it with the idea that the good stuff has already been moved, and what's left is there for a reason. You never know, though.

Good think you didn't have to travel too far.

Don't know if he is moving or it was bought from a "moving" sale as he said he wanted his warehouse back. There are over a dozen big audio racks and several smaller ones empty or with various pieces of equip't in various stages of usability, missing parts, missing decoders, etc..As I said mostly theater. He had the main part of a theater reel to reel projector—incomplete.
