Mostly Japanese and most of that Yamaha.

I have a US made preamp that is currently not in use. The speakers in my main system are US made by Infinity, which is also a major West coast speaker manufacturer.

The speakers in my test system are Canadian.

As to why I've chosen the gear I have, it's a combination of design esthetics and great sound. Yamaha designs are my favorite, and their best gear sounds superb.

Dingus you should listen to the Epos if you like an east coast sound. For the size I think you would be surprised.

Not Royd, but...............the guys at Gini Systems have replica kits from the LS3/5a BBC speakers with an incredible price. Compared to Harbeth's, i mean. smile.gif

Ah yes, Bryston. Bryston and Classe, our friends to the North sure make good stuff. And they have unbelievably long warrranties.

I have an eclectic mix of Japanese, American, and European gear. The Euro gear has the strangest ergonomics, such as headphone jacks in the back.

Hmm... I have a mixture also. Canadian, American, British, Swiss and Japanese.

OvenMaster- 01-10-2009
Lemme see now...

Amp: Japan
Tuna: Japan
CD player: Singapore (yes, the Marantz was a built in Philips' old Singapore factory)
TT: Germany
Cart: Denmark
Cassette deck: Malaysia, I think
Speakers: Britain

niklasthedolphin- 01-11-2009
Mainly European.

Norwegian (cassette and tuner)
Italian (power amps and CD)
English (TT, RIAA and loudspeakers)
Swiss (Cassette, earspeakers and pick-up)
Danish (R2R and PC)
German (Headphones)
Dutch (VCR)
American at the heart of my set-up (preamp) and Microphones and Mic tube preamps.
Very little japanese (digital studio and MD)

NO Chinese, Korean or Malayisian at all.
However, the PC is put together from components from all over the world.

Reason for this?
Well, that's how it turned out after +40 years of matching process.
