this was one of my favorite albums (on vinyl) way back in the early 80's. i just picked up the remastered version on CD and the only difference is, i think i like it even more today. having a better system than i had back then helps to be sure, but these days i enjoy the lyrical wit and sarcasm even more.

you wont find any grand or epic tracks on this album, just very well crafted power pop with a dash of blues and jazz sprinkled here and there. no sitting back with eyes closed and relaxing here. this music is made for moving, not just toe tapping but bopping around, belting out the vocals to a wicked guitar, drums that are just so right and a bass line that is as fine as any you'll find anywhere.

from start to finish, every track is a winner and the CD closes with a bonus live track that is a real treat. "I'm The Man", a tuneful, engetic, clever, classic masterpiece that is tons of fun.

I liked some of his charted stuff, but not real familiar with all of his music, bring it in on Sat for a listen.
