I thought I would finally get around to sharing some pics of my current rigs. Things tend to change pretty fast except for the Braun L810's, Yamaha NS 1000M's, the Altec Lansing Model Ones and the G8K, everything else is likely to move along at some point.

This shot is of the entire setup. Here is the lineup from left speakers and rack to right rack:

Speakers:

Altec Lansing Model One's sitting on top of the Advent 5002. The 5002's I use for TV and Xbox 360 gaming and for the odd time that we watch a movie on DVD or play the half dozen or so DVD-A's that we own. Then, my newly acquired Braun L810's and then my Yamaha NS 1000M's. See my sig for what drives what.

Electronics Left Rack Top to Bottom:

Sansui G-8000
Yamaha CDX-530
Carver DTL200 MKII
Yamaha CR-600
Dynaco ST400
Pioneer PD-F1009

Right Rack Top to Bottom:

Sansui TU-5900
Yamaha AX-550
Xbox 360
Yamaha CX-1000U
Yamaha M-45
Sansui TU-217
Sony SCD-
XE670
Pioneer CLD-D504

And then of course, the right channel speakers.
Of all this mess I think I'm impressed with the Altec Model Ones the most. I had arrived really late at a yardsale and there they were, along with a Luxman PX-101 Tangential drive TT, L-450 integrated amp and a little Technics tuner, can't remember the model. She was going to throw all this stuff out as the yardsale was over and she didn't want it. I saved it from the dump for the princely sum of $30. The speakers are spectacular and I love them not only for how I got them but for the way they sound. If you ever come across a pair grab them!!

NICE! You need more remotes. biggrin.gif Ether you are not married or this is a nice man cave because not many significant others will allow the stones and floyd hung in the living room. tongue.gif

I like your selection of speakers. Ever heard maggies? I'm guessing based on your setup that you would love them.

The sad thing is I do have more remotes, I think it's time for a nice Harmony or something similar.

I am married and this is our living room. I have an absolutely unbelievable wife. We share a passion for the same music, the gear passion is mine alone but she let's me indulge to my hearts desire as, like she says, I make our music sound better. Damn I love her smile.gif
The Stones poster was a vintage poster that I had mounted on MDF as a birthday present to my wife as she's a huge fan, the picture disks are from my album collection and thought I'd get them out and enjoy them rather than have them tucked away unseen with the rest of the collection.

I love the speakers but have never heard a pair of Maggies. I almost bought a pair of MMG's locally last year but never got a chance to hear them.

For a big living room, a big audio system. user posted image
From what i see you're big fun of Japanese audio stuff.
Very nice components. wink.gif

Jorge, two wives would only cause problems as you'd have to then get permission from both of them for any new audio gear.

Nice setup, Lerxst. Do you have any issues with the drivers in the other speakers sympathetically resonating with the pair your using and smearing the sound?

Funny you should ask that.

That was a big issue in the UK press in the late 70´s, giving origin to many a flame war, with some reviewers going as far as to say the small speaker driver in a TV set ( mono only in those days ) would smear the sound of your stereo completely. blink.gif

We know a lot better now, don´t we Mike? rolleyes.gif

Don't know why there should be any flame wars about it, the effect is noticeable, but varies depending on speaker positioning and size. I know that when I used to put my Maggies off to the side when not in use, it didn't take much to get them going and it really dirtied up the sound. In Lerxst case with conventional driver speakers, the effect may be insignificant or easily ignored. So, I asked.
