Some how I ended up bringing home a pair of these today! Reasonably priced, sound GREAT (finally a pair that weren't blown!) and look fantastic too. These are now in my already crowded living room begging for some serious A/B/Cing... but there is no way I can keep the Maggies, my ARs and the DQs (and the Yammies, KLHs, Snells, etc.) so I might have to pare down my collection for WAF.

Power hungry bastiges too. Never seen the needles on my Phase Linear swing like that. Running a 12" powered AR sub to fill in the deep stuff but I'm rather pleased with them so far, all in all.

Photos coming soon!

Maggies are good, the bigger the better. along with the power needs, you gotta get some space around them to really hear what they can do.

Yeah I bet! I wrestled the ARs off to one side so the Maggies have about two and a half feet behind them, tv and gear close between them and potentially a few feet on the ends once I move some other speakers... somewhere!

I'm not sure how to describe the sound and I probably shouldn't even try until I can get some serious listening time in on them and a bit more breathing room for them... I know I like what I have heard so far, not my "ultimate speaker" i'm sure, but with a quality alll of their own. As the first pair of *working* electrostatics I've ever heard all I can really say is that they certainly don't sound like anything else in my collection!

With my ARs in the photo for size comparison (that's a 62" tv too, btw). Very impressive in real life, almost imposing... they almost command me to make them the only speakers in the room! wink.gif
