the least you could do though is to rotate one of them 180 degrees so they are mirror imaged ...

They are, that's a pre fest picture. BTW I have tried them laying down , tweeters on the inside and tweets on the outside and think I like them best standing up with the tweets to the outside. You called it on the tube amp and those speakers. WOW.

if it hadnt been for my fear of the deteriorating controls i would have bought that Sansui 1000a.

Sorry i'm a little late for this topic sad.gif nevertheless you have done a great job with these babys. I never saw this model before but i'm very impressed not only with the quantity of drivers but also the minimalist design the crossovers have. Outstanding caps btw. smile.gif Vintage English caps crossovers, sucks.

Very cool looking speakers.
Congrats and enjoy. soundt/thumbup.gif

BTW, why don't you put this in DIY related topic? smile.gif

If you want to heat your house, just turn on the 1000a, I hope you like the sound of the sansui. when you have time, you might want to try that thing on a couple other sets of speaks you have laying around,

dang, I missed hearing those at the fest, hate to say it, but it was very nice coming home to a girlfriend and no kids.

Thanks Clint, these turned out to be much better speaker than anticipated. They look like they should sound like ass but sound great. I am finding it hard to find fault with them. I spent 3 hours listening last night to them and really like them on the tube amp.

is there a certain amount of break-in time on the surrounds that you installed?

Kelly, great job with the speakers. The Marantz Imperial nines are as good a speaker as I've heard at the last 3 of these events, ranking with JP's Tannoy's. I wish you lots of listening enjoyment.
