Damn, that's a fine job soundt/action-smiley-035.gif. I need to get a scanner set up as I have come across some more smile.gif.

LR-310 Receiver

Thanks for all the Lafayette stuff. I worked for them for 14 years, and remember all of those units quite fondly. We sold very few LR-5000's (though I owned one, and enjoyed it tremendously) and fewer LR-3000's. The LR-3500 was a terrific receiver, but pricey for a Lafayette 2-channel unit, but we sold the hell outta the LR-1100, and had almost no returns either! biggrin.gif

I responded before you posted the pic of the LR-310. It was a decent cheapie, styled almost identically to an older (and better) model - the LR-810 - which received a "Best Buy" accolade from Consumer Reports. Unfortunately, the 310 still carried on the old, Lafayette tradition, of dual, concentric volume controls erroneously marked "volume/balance" that were annoying to use when compared to separate volume and balance knobs. biggrin.gif

Chris,

The only snag with the photobucket approach is that the pics won´t be saved in ST´s database. The member who posts them can have them deleted from photobucket, anytime, to make more room for others, for example, and, should that happen, they will be forever lost for Sound-Thinking.

In view of this, and because, as opposed to other Forum Softwares used elsewhere, we can only upload one pic at a time, it becomes kinda hardwork.

For the sake of our database, however, I would ask you to do just that.

Anyway, if it ain´t hard, it ain´t fun, right?user posted image

Jorge

hi jorge,

thats a good point.i will continue to uplaod one file at a time.i've had a computer crash over the weekend and hopefully soon will have it back up and running and contribute alot more to this thread.i have a great idea for another thread topic consisting of articles some by the names like h.h scott, avery fisher etc.in the meantime keep the scans coming .i've only seen a few people post in this thread so far but surely there has to be a few more members with some brochures and a scanner so come on guys lets get e thread moving.who knows perhaps with a little bit of effort we can surpass "LASTPOST WINS" in the post count rolleyes.gif

I don´t think Larry & Cº. will allow anyone to beat "Last Post Wins", myself included. biggrin.gif

Having said that, let´s try to make this one a close second.
