Sometimes we find a little harsh on the top end high freqs output signal from a dac, here's a little tweak that allow us to shape some frequency contouring or de-emphasis, also we can use different values of R or C... depending on our sound tastes...wink.gif

So, here's what we need:

A small box, 4 RCA's, two 4K7R (4.7K ohms connect the signal between input and output) and two 15nF Polyprops 63V or 100V( on the output side between signal and ground), it's important that the capacitor goes across the output RCA.

Which is why I always suggest a DAC have defeatable upsampling smile.gif

Sometimes the problem is not in the DAC chip itself but in the lousy analogue output stage the most common systems have. wink.gif
