while I've only been involved in this hobby for 3 years, I think I've put together a nice system. It's mainly vintage gear I've found at yardsales/newspaper classifieds/pawnshops, or traded for, I've even bought a couple pieces used from different members. My Marantz 2130 is my main source as she's been recently aligned and been given a clean bill of health, the rest of my gear is more or less ran as found. Sounds nice to me!
my twin shivas, they are actually rotated outwards now,

Hey Greg,
That looks gorgeous. I wonder what your system would look like if you had been involved this hobby for something like 20- 30 years.

Greg, Lookin good.I like them Brystons.Is the top one a sub cross? I bet that Pioneer piece sounds good,my brotherinlaw has an old one that I have been trying to get from him for years. Greg

for speakers, I have/do own
Large Advent HPM-100's ESS-AMT1 AR9 IMF TLS50 Braun L-830 IMF Pro Monitor MkIII Tannoy 12" Gold
that top Bryston piece is my 11B pre, just below that is my 2BPro(not in use). I'm using 2 pre's at the moment daisy-chained together. The 11B controls the 3B for the Tannoys, and also feeds the SPEC-1 which controls the M-2 for my subs. I found that I needed to further increase the signal to the sub-amp as I never could get the subs to play loud enough to match the rest of my system.

I see the IMFs aren't being used, Bolly.
You know where to send 'em...

You shouldn´t laugh, greg. Don´t you know that speakers are like cars? The less you use them the higher the risk of something going wrong with them.
Send a pair or two to Paul, the rest you can ship to me.

Hey bolly, what are those big speakers in the first picture? I don't know my vintage speakers all that well, but they sure look like this pair of KLH Model 1/5's (in the speaker forum, at the bottom of the thread). I just got em and am picking up this weekend.

So you're the lucky "dog" that acquired Kelly's Klh's. Congrats and I hate you Just kidding......I would love to hear what you end up doing with those very rare beauties. I see the potential for a Bass Box/Horn bi amp project.....have fun and keep everyone up to date on whatever you do. Bill

cableguy, tweren't me that purchased kelly's KLH's... dogface, the mystery speakers are Tannoy 12" Gold's in custom McCurdy cabinets;
and the bryston 3B will soon be replaced by two Electrohome PA100Mk1's! (very, very rare)
