I had a chance to listen to one this past weekend. It gets great marks for the cool factor. The automatic record centering mechanism is nice but scary smile.gif It sounded good to me. Some pooh poohed it for all the extra electronics it had.

I only saw pictures of it, and let me tell you I´ve been drooling ever since. rolleyes.gif

Any Chances of you getting it, Mike?

Wow, a Nak Dragon TT! I'll second Jorge - any chance that you'll get it?

Prices can be crazy for them. Just seen a few of 'em listed between $700 and $1500.

I had a chance to get a 202 Nakamichi- the kind that's auto-reverse by physically flipping the tape in it's housing via a turntable mechanism.

I regret that I didn't do it.

Sorry, Paul, we ain´t talking about cassette decks, but turntables.

$1500 would be a great score for one of the best TT´s ever made. I very much doubt you can get one for less than 10K.

Oops- sorry. Thought you meant the Nak Dragon cassette. soundt/doh.gif

why is there 2 tone arms?

It is done to allow for two different cartridges without having to reset up everything when a different cartridge is desired, or for that matter you could concievably even have a different phono stage for one arm and another for the other.

All cartridges have their own charicteristics, some sound better with Rock some better with a full orchestra.

If two ain´t enough for you, here´s one with three.

seems like a little overkill, how many tone arms get destroyed while playing records, I must be lucky, I havent had any explode or anything like that.

It is not as much the number of arms as the number of possiblities with cartridges and phono stages, different sounds from the same table.

ah, I thought that the more exotic it is, the more apt to break down, kinda like a ferrari.

Not much chance of getting it unless Dave Newman decides to sell it. His only has one tonearm and the other device is for centering records. It looks like a tonearm at a quick glance.

It quite a machine for sure. I'd love to have one of them.
