When we first opened the store in 1981, I sold mostly nuts, bolts, and tools to the local farmers. I used to shop once a month at the Galt flea market, where the tool wholesalers would sell only to businesses on Thursday. One week I picked up a dozen cheapo pairs of sunglasses from one of the other vendors because iIbreak them all the time. I paid $9 for a dozen, and set the box on my desk. One of my customers spotted them and asked if I'd sell him a few pair, so I charged him two bucks each. The next day, one of his tractor drivers came asking for the $2 sunglasses. Long story short, I started buying them by the case (2 gross) which got the cost down to $7.25/doz. At two dollars a pair, three for five bucks, I have no idea how much money I made over time.

Don't even ask about the year I sold the skateboards for $25!!

what model does she have.

I will have to find out, it is either one on the Chinese of Korean ones, not a Yamaha or Honda. She just bought it a month ago, she already dumped it and broke her hip.

I'm so sorry to hear that.

She will be fine, it is not a bad break. Now we are fixing the scooter and selling it. She should have gotten a golf cart in the first place. Learning to ride at her age is not the thing to be doing. I believe she paniced and rolled the throttle back and lost control.

I still haven't seen this thing. My son tells me that the front fender is broken, I don't know what all else may be wrong, he says it wobbles not too, I hate to think what that may be.

All I know for sure about the model is that it is a Qlink 50cc.

Is the steering loose? It comes loose on mine I had to use Lock-Tite on the bolt. I'll look for a fender. Thanks I just put a new breather on mine it increased my speed by 5mph.

Till I actually see it I won't know about the sterring, chances are that it is, she ran it into the neighbors deck. I hope the forks aren't bent.

Is it a Star or Axon. If the steering is loose call dealer they will fix all. That may be why she wrecked.

I wasn't loose till she crashed it, it got away from her and being inexperienced she didn't know what to do, I think there will be a lot more of this with inexperienced riders coming out of the woodwork looking for cheaper means of transportation. At least she wasn't out on the road in traffic.

Around here if you are over 21 you aren't required to take a training course, I don't even think she went and took the drivers -*test*-('"), she got it and decided to ride it, at 72 years old I don't think she was really thinking. Her sister was trying to tell my son yesterday (he is an experienced rider both on the road and off), that he should never use his front brake and doesn't think there even should be one. I agree under some circumstances use very little front brake but what do I know, I have only been riding for the last 26 years.
