Hi all.
I was starting to wonder if I made some stupidity in signing up resulting me in not being able to post in here.
Suddenly I can, so I will.
I maybe should start saying that I'm from Denmark, EU and my writing might reflect that once in a while.
I apologize in advance.
I was tipped about this forum on Tape Head, where I am reading and posting on daily basis.
I participate in more than 40 HiFi fora around the world and have been doing this exchanging knowledge and experience for as many years as the internet forum idea was started.
I am always nicknamed "niklasthedolphin" no matter what forum.
Some fora has limitation in the length of the nickname.
So I might be found as "niklasthedol".
I've been a music lover and hifi equipment user since the 60's and have had and still have every possible source worth keeping.
I did some work, like live broadcasting, master recordings from live events and studio events for a radio broadcasting station in the late 70's / early 80's.
Back then I also did some A/V consulting for the state/municipality.
Since then I occassionaly have been doing master recordings but never on comercial basis. Always on agreements with the musicians of no publishing and sharing.
I play the Trumpet, the guitar, the piano, percussion, flute and a few other instruments but only for fun. Trumpet is my main instrument.
I enjoy sailboat travelling (educated as sailor and officer of the merchant navy), travelling in general, motorcycling (primarily on italian bikes), photographing, cooking and a lot of other meaningless stuff.

I also was educated in other directions.
Among other things as radio mechanic (many years ago) and solcial advisor and peadagog (bachelor degree).
That made me work for many years with resocializing criminals like bankrobbers, murderers, raipists and all sorts of scumbags.
Sometime my way of communicating reflects that.
:-)
I'm married and grey haired.
I have my own opinions on many subjects within our common hobby.
One thing is that I believe the best option of reproducing music is with R2R machines.
Without doubt.
I use anything, analog and digital but I prefer analog sound for it's more natural sound with generaly superior parameters all over (even though a lot of them are not meassurable).
I use a concept of cabling called multicabling.
I will explain the concept in other posts.
Hope to have fun here.
