I was over at a friend's house and he moved a Hafler DH-200 and dh-101 as well as CD player and tuner to another home. No sound through the speakers except very low volume. when turned all the way up. He ask me if I could see anything amiss and no I cannot except the light to the left of the onoff switch is not lit. He inherited it from his dad and has not been able to get it working since moving it. Any guesses?
http://www.hafler.com/techsupport/pdf/DH-200_amp_man.pdf) will get you the assembly instructions and operation manual. the hafler site seems to be experiencing some glitches at the moment (the pdf file links work ok), but they do have some archived info on the early Hafler pieces.
With no power on light you are only getting the output of the cdp.
Are you using the power plug ins on the back of the preamp? They are fused and may have failed, plug the power amp into an outlet direct and see if that is a possiblity. If this is the case you can check inside to locate the fuse and replace it, make sure to replace it with the correct size fuse.
Check the fuse on the back of the power amp, it may have failed. Make sure to replace the fuse with the correct size fuse, never put a larger fuse in "just to see". The fuse may look good and be bad, it could be broke at the solder joint, either check it for continuity with a meter or get a new replacement and put it in, it is still best to check even a new fuse for continuity before installing to be sure it is good and cause you a bunch of needless checking.
Let us know your outcome.

Two questions:
Did you notice if the on/off led lit before moving?
Are all the interconnect cables connected in the right place? I assume you'd already done these checkings, even though....
