I'll keep my eyes open..............................
Tanx for the input amigos.
After only a few hours of listening, my first opinion is:
If sound had taste, the sound coming from my speakers just tastes like honey...
they look like Goertz and yes you can buy Goertz in bulk. If they sound anythink like Goertz they sound great
Nordosk –Super Flatline Mk2 Bi-Wired Speaker Cable
A taste like honey or a small review of the killer resolution Nordosk's speaker cable sound impact.
The sound coming from my B&W speakers is fullness, detailed, deep, with sweetly extended sound imaging . The bass is strong, tight, taut with plenty of detail throughout the frequency spectrum. The mids are clean, airy and with lots of clarity, all the voices have great presence and natural timbre, reverb and ad-libs the same happens with piano notes plus adding a sparkling delicate note’s decay. The guitar distortions are solid warm and full of harmonics. If I have a knife I almost can cut the sound in slices such is the presence and solidity of this incredible organic and lively sound – The highs freqs are liquid without minimum harsh at the high notes, the same with the cymbals sounds with depth and smooth detail just like pure silk.
Great recordings sounded simply stunning. Not-so-great recordings were treated kindly—including those "golden oldies" from the 1940s and '50s.
Also with this cable and amp match I got a full picture of just how great the B&W CDM1 SE really is. Give them an amp with killer resolution like my Sonic Super T –Amp and that's what you'll get...killer resolution. I mean, resolution and neutrality and musicality. Not sizzle—this B&W never sizzles, despite having a metal-dome tweeter on top. It never gives you detail while leaving the music behind.
Of course all this happens not only because of my system's synergy, but also because of the unique construction of this cable.
First, I find the Flatline cable design quit appealing to the eye. Second, it has flat conductors line up side by side, instead of twisted wires witch increase capacitance. Because of this – no twist and coil – inductance is also lower, the same happens with resistance because Nordost Flatline use the best copper with 16 wires.
Also, the audio sign travels much faster than twisted cables because of the lower value of the resistance.
All this electric aspects increase resolution, definition, clarity and dynamics.
One more thing, they also have Teflon to insolate each wire, to cut down skin effects. In mechanic terms it also increase rigidity to the cable fragile appearance.
Music used in this review: Mick Harvey, Bjork, R.E.M. The Specials, Miles Davis and Alice In Chains.
