I don't know this model, but what i know about Castle speakers is that they are very well known for great quality cabinetry.

i havent a clue about these speakers, but going by the gear you do have, i'd say you have a natural affinity for sniffing out fine pieces. if info remains lacking, i would go with your instinct on these.

The Howards were top of the line in Castle´s range back in the 90´s.
They have Quarter-Wave loaded bass, which almost matches Transmission Line designs for bass depth with a much simpler ( and cheaper to build ) box design.
I desperatly wanted to buy a pair in 1997 or thereabouts, but I just couldn´t afford them. Instead, I bought the model imediatly bellow, the Chesters, which were not as impressive, but still pretty decent.
The Treble in both models can be a bit strident. I liked my Chesters quite a lot driven by an Audio Research D-70 valve amp I had at the time.
Contrary to a lot of other more famous British brands, Castle speakers don´t seem to hold their value so well in the second hand market, so I would be careful about the buying price.
