going to paint the house this weekend, weather permitting of course but it took a while to get the colors. I thought that just using the little tabs and combo's on the little piece of paper would work, but the girlfriend and painter kept suggesting that we get test quarts of the paint we like and see it, well I was completely wrong, that is a must, the colors we thought would look good were real bad, and the ones we thought would look bad are the ones we chose.

We had a hard time finding a trim color that would match the tan color, and we were sitting up having a drink in the evening pondering our next couple quarts, as the other 3 colors didnt work. I looked at a color that for sure wouldnt work and said, why not try this one tomorrow? and it worked out to be the best one.

in the photo, we chose colors in the middle of the garages, in between the cars.

in this case "we" picked colors and, unless i truly did miss something, "we" will not be doing any painting.

I was a professional painter and decorator for about 10 years, and I must say Elroy that you have a head start there, as you and Dingus already sound like me and my work mates after being cooped up indoors breathing paint fumes for 8 hours in the middle of summer

all I am going to do on this job, is prep a little bit, and paint a bit of the trim on the ground floor, I dont climb on rooves unless I have to. hopefully this weekend it will get done
