Jim, I appreciate your concern, and I can report that the amp works very well for now, after cleaning this problematic switch. About speakers....it`s not so important, I don`t want to change them for now. Anyway, did anybody try Pioneer A-60 with any speakers and what`s the impression?

I have the smaller brother the A-40 (80 watts) and it's quite a nice sounding amp very similar to the later 1970's amps of the same power I have heard. Mine has a very nice FET phono stage. It's waiting until I get a chance to set up a shop/Garage system before is has much to do.
